#39, also known as the “Hideo Oshiro” Serena was built for a client in Atlanta, Georgia. It features a Cuban mahogany body, flame maple top, mahogany neck and pau ferro board. It uses a set of Lindy Fralin unbuckers paired with an HCP control from http://guitarelectronics.com which lets the user cycle between the either coil or full on humbucker. Other controls include a phase switch and a blower switch for the bridge pickup for lead guitar work.
#40, also known as the Honey Burst Serena was built for another client with specific demands in his guitar. It features a Spanish cedar body, flame maple top, mahogany neck and Indian rosewood board. It uses a set of Seymour Duncan P-rails, each with its own mini toggle to switch between either coil or both in series humbucker. It also features a Roland GK kit for midi capability! It is surely a versatile instrument!
